Pumping moms

If you are out without your DC, where do you pump?

I may be off from work on Friday morning, and I was thinking about going to the mall to get some clothes, ect for both of us ( i haven't purchased any new clothes since pre-pregnancy stuff  other than maternity and it is a desperate situation at this point) but I am not sure what to do about the pumping situation. I only get to pump two times at work usually (11 30 and 1pm, not ideal, but all i can do) and then I pump at home while feeding him in the morning and then when I get home in the afternoons. So i don't want to go an extended amt of time without pumping on a day I can actually pump normal hours. I can't think of anywhere private enough to pump in my car. I pump at work in the bathroom so honestly that is do-able at a store, but i was wondering if you guys had any suggestions.

Re: Pumping moms

  • Is there a Nordstrom at your mall? They have a nice women's lounge and I think most of them also have a family bathroom that might make pumping more comfortable.

  • The malls I go to have a Macy's or Nordstroms, so I will pump in the mother's rooms there. If I'm at a place without a mothers room I will just pump in the bathroom.

  • I would try for a nice bathroom like PP said about nordstrom.  If i couldn't, I'd pump in my car with a nursing cover thingy.

  • I just hop in the back seat w/ my nursing cover.

  • i have an adapter so I have pumped in my car, however I burse DD while we are out and usually do not pump, or I pump before I go and make it back within 3 hours!
