I just got mine in the mail today and this thing is awesome! The temps are the EXACT same as a rectal. (I checked, lol) The brand I got was the Exergen brand, and it's the same one our Children's Hospital uses.

Ok... Infomercial done. Lol.

I have one and an ear thermo. I have to use the ear thermo now because she moves way to much! I loved it before and I hope to use it when she gets a bit older again.

This was probably one of the best gifts we got for DS. My friend who is a PA gave us one since it is what she uses at work. It has saved us on multiple occasions. I tend to use it when DS is sleeping, he never wakes up.

we use that in the ER where i work and i find them terriable inaccurate. Rarely any pt has a fever anymore. We use the exergen brand. i miss rectal temps!!!
