Hola! Yes I know I've been totally MIA. I was gonna try to just need back on. I kind of quit messageboarding (it's now a verb) altogether for awhile since life just got really hectic for me. But I did secretly lurk every now and then and got super excited when I saw that IHHM and Bri_and_Shane were preggo!
Some may remember I got preggo back in July '08. Well I ended up having a miscarriage in September (naturally and good golly I do NOT recommend that to any sane woman it was the worst three days of my life). Anyway, it was a traumatic time! So after taking some personal time off, I dug myself into my work and spent 50% of my life on airplanes working my butt off for an unnamed company...only to find out on January 30th that I was being laid off. Three days after being laid off, I found out I was pregnant. Fabulous timing!
Crazy enough, we couldn't be happier (about my lay off and about the pregnancy). So I'm apprehensively on this journey again :-) I decided to launch my own business since trying to go back to work right now at a new company is just...wierd being that I know I'm going to go on maternity leave in less than 7 months. Feel unethical to say the least. Plus I want to try to swing the work at home mom gig :-) I am quite enjoying working for myself.
Anyway, that's my short and dirty story. The full version has way more tears and triumph, but I'm glad to be back. I've been going back and reading the posts from the last 3 months trying to catch up on the news!

We have VERY similar stories, I was laid off on November 4th and found out I was pregnant November 18th. I still think I got laid off so that I could get pregnant, my job was SO stressful.

Well I am sorry to hear about your MC, but it sounds like things are going great for you now! I hope everything goes well with your WAHM gig, and congrats on the pregnancy!
