  • I need to be added please.

QOTD:  I am a full time student and will be taking the Fall semester off from school.

  • My husband is still in school and usually only works part time. So me as a SAHM doesn't work.

I plan on taking 8 weeks off, then going back to work part time (3 days a week). If DH's work will allow it, we'll have him watch baby on 2/3 days  that I work, which just leaves one day to cover. I'm hoping to find a friend or friend of friend who wants to trade me 1 day/wk of childcare (and I would watch their child on one of my days off). I am not comfortable putting my child in daycare until they are at least 6 months-1year old. If that plan doesn;t work out, I will quit my job and find a nanny position where I can take my child with me.

  • I am planning to be a SAHM, but if an opportunity that is worthwhile to do from home surfaces, that would be nice. I work as a video editor now and have a lot of 12 hour days/nights.

If I do go back to work it would be on a freelance basis, 1-2 days a week only, with the baby going to daycare as there is no family local to us. But we really do not want to do this. We are working to get my car and other bills paid off so we have less to worry about when our little bundle arrives!

  • I will be a working mom.  Combo of nanny and family will watch the little one while I'm at the office.

By the way, can you update my due date to 9/21.  I'm currently listed under 9/20 and 9/22.  Thanks!

  • I am planning to work, at least part time.  Unfortunatly we will have to take the little one to a day care.  My mom, both grandma's, and aunts have offered to watch him/her on their days off if we are able to move closer to home but it just doesn't look like that is going to be a possibility (we live in FL and they live in IL).  We want to move but haven't been able to find jobs up there yet.
  • I plan on being staying at home or just working a couple days a week. DH and I have been talking a little about it but my job does allow me to work when DH gets off.
  • Wishing I could be a SAHM, but will go back to work after 12 weeks, just like with the other two. My DS will start Kindergarten this year, my DD and the baby will attend day care together.
  • Can you add me to the list? I'm 29, due date is 9/21.

I'm sadly not going to be home for long. Will have to go back after 6 weeks as I'm gonna be a resident. If all goes well, my MIL will be watching the baby.

  • I will be working outside of the house. Our little peanut will be going to a small at home daycare where his/her big sister goes. I really love our daycare lady. She has tons of experience and is so good with all of the little ones. We are hoping the I can be a SAHM someday soon down the road.
  • QOTD: I plan to go back to work, I wish i could be a SAHM... unfortunately with this economy its not possible at this time. Sad I plan to have our family watch the baby throughout the week (I am thankfull to have that option).

I currently work full time and am thinking about going back to school for nursing so I can have better hours and better pay. I wish I could be a SAHM.?

  • I'm currently working part-time, plan to continue until August. Then, the plan is to SAHM with this baby as long as I can. My daughter currently goes to my mother-in-laws while I work, and I love the experience she gets over there. However, I have a very difficult time leaving a newborn/infant. I'd prefer to be the primary caretaker for at least the first year.
