feeling your heartbeat in your bump?

so of course i've been trying to pay attention to all the goings on down there in the hopes of feeling a little baby movement early on, but instead all i am feeling is my own steady heartbeat. it's like pulsing through my entire lower abdomen. i assume it's the increased blood flow and the placenta and all that, but it's kinda weird. anyone else?

    I feel it too! I wonder if we can just feel it more now cause we are looking for something else? I also sometimes think my hands are thumping more too, like a heartbeat in my hand!

    Yes, I just noticed this the past couple nights.  Since I just started feeling my little guy in there I spend a lot more time being aware of my tummy, and I totally know what you are talking about.  I was actually thinking of posting something about this last night and totally forgot!

    Ya it's crazy!  I can feel her moving/kicking all the time now so I was trying to get DH to feel & he just kept commenting on how intense my heartbeat was on my belly haha

    yup it makes it harder to feel the baby but I find that if I push a little further down or move my hand to a less pulsy-spot, I can feel the babe moving.

    Its hard for DH to tell the difference between baby moving and my heartbeat, so I try to find a spot that's 'safe' before he puts his hand down, usually helps and makes for successful baby-movement feelings.

    I've always been able to feel/see my heartbeat in my abdomen, but it's usually towards the top of my stomach that I feel it.

    It gets stronger and stronger, I am anxiously awaiting to feel outside kicks, and all I get is my heartbeat!

    i was doing that last night as well... felt no kick but i felt my heart beat.. and i knew it was my own because i have an irregular beat.

    I have felt this as well. I was hoping it was the baby moving, but guess I will just have to keep on waiting. I think that I want to feel the baby move so much that sometimes I think I wish myself into thinking I feel something.

    Yep, I get it too!  Mainly when I'm leaning forward at my desk.  It's a little distracting when I'm trying to work but these days I don't feel like I get much done anyways!!
