How do you clean your pump accessories after each pumping session?

Just hot water and soap?  Quick wipes?  Sterilize in a bag?

  • Just hot water and soap. I sterlize about once a week.

  • I don't wash them after each session I will usually keep them in the fridge and rinse them off right before I use them again. I wash them with hot water and soap and sterilize them in a bag sometimes. I did buy the quick wipes but I thought they were kind of a waste.

  • Occassionally if I'm in a hurry and need to get back to work I'll just rinse in hot water, but usually it is soap and water then air dry.
  • I don't I put the parts in a zip lock bag in the fridge.  I wash once per day in hot soapy water and boil once per week.

  • If I'm pumping at work, I don't wash them.  I figure bm is good for 10 hours out of the fridge, so it should be fine.  I toss them in the dishwasher when I get home.  I've had no problems this way.  I have to make it as easy as I can for myself or I don't want to do it.

  • I generally sterilize after each session with the micro bags just because its the easiest. I do boil too whenever I see gunk kinda building up in them despite the sterilizing.
