  • When I have pizza delivered I usually add $2

  • If there's already a delivery charge I consider that their tip!!

  • I tip 15-20 percent, just like I would at a restaurant. More for faster, less for slower.

We used to own a restaurant, and the delivery fees don't pay the guy at all. They cover insurance and gas for the car.

  • Both of our closest pizza places started charging a lot to deliver when gas prices got so high so we started giving them $1 or $2 rather than what we used to give them when delivery was free.

this is what i did!  and my coworker was totally arguing with me.  i guess i like to tip generously in most cases though, since i know that that is most of the person's living.  oh well.......

  • FYI - delivery fees don't go to the driver usually.  I give a few bucks - not as much as I would in a restaurant because they aren't waiting my table, but they do deserve a few bucks for bringing me my food so I don't have to go out and get it.
