real contractions and BH's? Tuesday the OB told me that I have moved to "zero tolerance" status for contractions. If I know I've had three contractions, drink water, and lay down, if I have three more within an hour, go to the hospital. But what if I'm just having BH's, how do I tell the difference with such a low tolerance level? I'd feel like a total dummy if I thought I was having contractions and they hooked me up and saw nothing! I honestly felt dumb at the hospital the other night because I was having regular contractions for an hour before I could feel them and realized what they were.
Re: How do you tell between...
I would assume that they mean zero tolerance for any contractions... BH or otherwise. I think that you need to ask this question to your OB, as it's really important that you have a clear understanding of what you need to be worried about.

Edited to add... don't worry about feeling stupid for calling or for not knowing you're having contractions. Lots of people don't know that they are having BH contractions.

I wouldn't worry one bit about being "that girl" in L&D, especially with your situation! Better safe than sorry, IMO!
