Etsy sellers.... please come in.

I'm confused. I had my 1st sell yesterday, but it hasn't posted to my paypal account. I double checked my email address, and it matches my etsy email address. I called paypal, and customer service said everything on my end looked fine. Does this mean that payment wasn't made? I'm new at this, and a little confused. Can a buyer, buy an item and not actually pay? I received a transaction #, and etsy charged me for the purchase. Please help a newbie. TIA!!

    Yes they can make a purchase and then not pay until later.  You'll get an email from paypal when the buyer has sent the money to your account. :)

    You might want to contact them to see if they had problems with paypal.  I have lots of customers think they pay, and they it doesn't work. 

    Hyena cart is different, it won't send me the order until the customer has paid.

    Look at your sold items if it doesn't say payment received which it will automatically with pay-pal then they haven't paid for it yet. You can also look at the details there to.
