Mine: When people find out they're having a boy and say, "It was OBVIOUSLY a boy, no question."
It just seems weird to me the need to make sure the nesties know your baby boy is well endowed in your opinion.
I'm kind of a lurker, so I probably shouldn't say anything...but I feel like stirring the pot ![]()
Re: What's your 2nd Tri Pet Peeve Post
It's so nitt-picky but I HATE when people type their name into their post every time. If you want to "sign" your posts, put it in your sig!
I have never thought about the "it was obviously a boy" posts that way, but I think this is hilarious.
When people say things like "I feel like stirring the pot"
You should have started with "I don't mean to offend anyone but..."
When does 3rd tri start?
and
I'm 18 weeks pregnant and haven't felt the baby kick for a few days...should I call my doctor?
Oooooo....good one! Also, any and all "I know it's an OWT but...." posts.
LMAO! (I think I'm easily amused this afternoon)
This!
And by the way Mavila, WHO THE HELL would type this? No offense.
WHY THE HELL did you quote me? No offense.
Oh and you are obviously having a boy.
No offense.
I think it would make more sense for them to type "I feel like stirring the pot" because that's usually their intent. When they say "I don't mean to offend anyone" they usually do.
That's a good one! It bugs me, too...
The movement question...I know it can be frustrating, but there seems to be one post every 1-2 pages, if not more.
And when people say TMI, and it's NOTHING. Sometimes I wonder if these women are going to be okay in the delivery room with their legs wide open....lol
As for the "obviously" a boy comment...I always thought of it as it was very noticeable/it was hard for us to miss thing, which doesn't have to mean that their little boy is well-endowed. I know I have probably said this, and I know I didn't mean it that way....people just always seem to wonder if you are certain and such.
Ditto this. I SO do not understand this.
Also huge siggys no matter what's in them. If I have to scroll through an entire PAGE just to get through your sig, it's too long. No one's kids are that cute.
Good one!
I think people might say this because those who find out "early" (the opinion of some who think "early" is anything under 20 weeks), some bumpies will say "well that was early, I wouldn't go painting the walls at 17 weeks...." and that's annoying. If there's a penis, there's a penis - I don't have to wait til 20 weeks to make sure the penis didn't fall off just because you had to wait til 20 weeks. I say it not to let others know he was well endowed (how "well endowed" can a 16-20 week old fetus be anyways!?), but to say, look, there was no questioning it's a boy and I don't expect to go back in 4 weeks and find out it's actually a girl...
That said, the weight posts are my biggest pet peeve.
I hate this question. And I hate questions that could be answered if people learned to scroll down . . . or better yet, read the previous page. Ugh!

I'm going to no offense you right across the face.
Wait, somewhere this stopped making sense....
Wow...you're one hot bride! Love your siggy pic.

I agree...particularly when they are like 12 weeks....
"Big u/s! It's a..........."
and then you have to open the post to find out boy, girl, team green, whatever. I just don't think the suspense is worth it on the board. When announcing to your family and friends, yes! But here you won't spoil anything by saying "It's a boy!" or whatever in the title.
Minor pet peeve that I don't lose sleep over or anything. But since you asked...
Also, I hate that people think the big u/s is JUST about learning the sex.
Baking Blog
I've probably said that a few times, but not insinuating that he's well-endowed (ugh!) Just that the u/s shot we got was very obvious, that's all.
"You're gonna miss this You're gonna want this back You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast..."
Exactly what I was going to say.
Also, when the subject makes it sound like something horrible happened, then it turns out somebody got pickles on their Wendy's burger by mistake.
Or, somebody posts about something horrible/tragic that may or may not be happening, then never updates even though everything is fine.
exactly
Completely agree! It's an internet message board. I could be a 50 year old man for all you people know. Please, stop getting your panties in a bunch over people "coming over" early.
"You're gonna miss this You're gonna want this back You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast..."
Totally agreed! I'm often appalled at some of the things people put up with from their husbands. I couldn't imagine.
This....
