I was wondering what kind of covers you used on Maddie when she was itty bitty. ?Did you use an S or XS Thirsties or something else?

Also, if you are interested in selling them (if you aren't still using them and you haven't already) I would be interested in buying.

I wish I would have thought of it before you returned your Kissaluvs rental too because I would have bought it from you and then you would have had cash instead of credit.

I am thinking of just going prefolds until she fits into our one size because I just don't have much use for the store credit at this point.?

  • ::butting in:: i CDed henry when he was a newborn and we used xs thirsties covers. i think the small would be way too big for a newborn! love the thirsties covers, even with his runny (and saved up for 5-6 days) poo, we never had a leak.

i'd probably do prefolds in your situation too!

We used a variety since I wanted to try them out -- xs Thirsties and nb Proraps were my favorite. :)

I'm glad you got everything from DH on Saturday -- I hope you love them! :)

  • We didn't start until Maddie was 2 months old, so she was about 9 lbs then. The covers that fit her best at that size were the Bummis SuperBrites. I know some people don't like those as much as Thirsties, but I love them- they have the double gussets too and the NB was much smaller than her XS Thirsties.

If I were you, I'd get 1-2 NB Bummis Superbrite for when she is itty bitty, and then get a couple of XS Thirsties. Maddie outgrew her Bummis within about a month, but could still wear her XS Thirsties until about a month ago (not over a GM, but over a sized fitted). By the time she outgrows her XS Thirsties she'll definitely be ready for the one size dipes.

I already consigned the Bummis, but I have an XS Thirsties that I'd be happy to pass along. You want to wait until we see if we make the same zoo gtg?

  • Oh- alchris's post reminded me that I have one (maybe 2, I'll have to check) NB prowrap too. I only used it a couple of times b/c I didn't like it very much, but you're welcome to that one too.

  • Thanks ladies! ?

jenhum- that would be great if we could make it to the same Zoo GTG, I would be happy to buy it from you :)

I should know in the next week which one I will be able to make it to.?

  • I was just about to add that the Bummi's super brites should be good too, but those didn't exist when Kira was a nb.  I still have Kira's xs and nb covers as well. :)
