From the MOM's:
Ladies,
I just heard from Brook again. Sydney joined her sister this evening.
Here are the details she shared with me. I will post this on the
Multiples board as well.
"Sydney joined her sister at 6:45 this evening. When Carynne passed
yesterday, her heart just gave up and we tried to recucitate her. We
called the ambulance and she was taken to the hospital. I rode in the
police car while Jake stayed with Sydney. When I walked into the ER
the doctors were waiting to tell me that she had passed.
Today, Sydney was struggling the entire day and we could only turn her
oxygen up to a certain level without blowing up her lungs. When we
got to that point, I just held her in my arms and Jake held her hands.
We had two nurses here with us and they watched the monitors as she
slowly decreased. We just held her and let her take her last breaths
in our arms. She stayed with us for about an hour before they came to
pick her up.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, a
division of Flanner and Buchanan. This might sound bad, but I am
thankful that they went so close together so they didn't miss each
other too much. We are going have both services at the same time
sometime later this week."
I'm sorry I have to share this awful news. ![]()

Re: Update re: Brooke
As horrible as it all is, perhaps it is a blessing they went so close together so that Brooke and Jake don't have to grieve and have a funeral in two seperate times. I can see as a mama Brooke being comforted in knowing they are still together.
I pray they feel all the love for them and their beautiful girls that have touched so many people that never even met them.
Lord.
My heart and prayers are with them.

I will definately be keeping Brooke and her family in my thoughts and prayers. I can't even imagine.
How sad. My heart goes out to Brooke and her husband.
That is so sad...the family is in my prayers.

oh my God. I am in tears. That is so awful...I am heartbroken for them.
Is there something us local girls can do for them? I live in Carmel and we could organize sending food/flowers/etc...?
I'm so sorry for Brook. Those children are at peace now, but that's cold comfort for those who loved them and wanted them here longer. I pray that Brook and her DH and their families find peace and hope and love on their journey through their grief and with the rest of their lives.
Oh, this just breaks my heart. I can barely even type because I'm crying.
I am keeping Brook and her DH in my prayers.

That is so sad, words can't even begin to explain.
They will be in my thoughts.
I'm glad they were able to pass so close together, as mentioned, and I'm glad there's only one funeral to endure.
So terribly sad and unfair.
My heart goes out to them in so many ways. This is just heartbreaking, I am praying for them constantly.
