Rash with food allergies...

If your LO got a rash with their food allergies, what did it look like?  DS has a patch of irritated skin that appeared right about the time we started rice cereal.  It looks kind of like baby acne...red with a few small bumps...no hives or anything.  It doesn't seem to bother him at all

    You're probably fine.  How long has he been eating cereal?  If it persists and gets worse after a couple more days, then I would be concerned.  He's probably just got a dry skin spot.

    We've done rice and oatmeal cereal and today DD had her first poop since we started a few days ago and she immediately got a rash where her poop touched her skin and it was bright pink.  I called pedi and they said its normal that I don't need to be concerned unless it gets worse or spreads to other parts of her body.

    It's been about 2 weeks.  It went away and came back...but hasn't gotten worse...I'm hoping it's just another bout of baby acne.

    C's food allergy rash is all over he body and very fine red bumps. Citrus gets her every time.
