Like many of you, I have a small fortune spent in baby clothing. I am trying to figure out where I'll get the most for selling the items - I know Lady Bug and Lizard consignment will pay about 35% of what they can sell the item for in the store. I'm not sure if there is a market for higher end twin outfits on ebay - It seems that clothing on Craigs List is sold for cheap in bulk. Any advice here??

Re: Where should I sell baby clothing??? Advice needed.
I am no expert, but here is my 2c as someone who sells clothes.
I sell the high end stuff on ebay - lilly, hanna, some gymboree in EXCELLENT condition. Right now, its an unpredictable market....some stuff does better than others and its hard to say. Gymbo resale has taken a huge hit this year as they have gotten very agressive in their sales, so many people are just buying new stuff IMO.
I donated stuff to a church conisgnment sale last fall and will do that again. Its totally hit or miss. Baby stuff is not in as much demand clothes wise as many people give baby clothes so people have more than they need alot of times and dont' buy used. HOWEVER times being what they are, you never know. I donated stuff totalling my price of $320 last fall and only sold $180....now, that was still awesome, but alot of stuff did not sell. This time, I might take back what doesn't sell and hold onto it for next year or try ebay since this money helps me fund clothes.
I know the N FUlton Twins group sponsors a sale...which I THINK if you do consignment, you might want to do a twin sale....or not.
Stores take a bigger percentage of what you sell, so I just avoid.
Email me with questions. I am doing pretty well so far this year with ebay and just selling online to some groups I frequent....gymborfriends and the babywearer which has buy/sell/trade boards that cost nothing....well there is a membership to gymborfriends you have to pay to B/S/T.
Good luck!
I don't know if you are a part of a multiples club but I go to the multiples sales and they sell clothes in pairs/sets to other moms of multiples early in the morning and then break the sets up for others to purchase.
I think the group is called NMMOMC. Here's a link
