DS and I are going to a party on Friday and I'm trying to think what to get for her. I usually buy her books, but I was just wondering if anyone had other suggestions. Money is tight, so nothing terribly expensive. She loves dolls but has a lot, nothing to noisy because sometimes it scares her (for example she got a toy vacuum that really works but they never turn it on for her because it scares her). She has the best vocabulary of any 2 year old I've ever met and she's very smart (if that helps for toy ideas).

Re: 2 yo birthday gift ideas.
DD is going to be 2 in 3 weeks and here's what she's into right now:
Paint with water books, playdough, sticker books (you can find them at Target or Sam's club that include reusable stickers), my little ponies, books, memory game (very simplistic..not the character memory game, but the original), simple puzzles, Crayola color wonder marker set (don't have to worry about markers making a mess). Hopefully that helps a little bit. You could also buy her some accessories for her dolls (bottles, clothes, pretend food,etc..). Good luck!
