Little man went down great for bedtime tonight. ?Then awoke at about 11:30pm b/c the fire alarm in his room was beeping. ?Why the hell do these things happen in the middle of the night? I go in to try and comfort him, nothing works. ?Resort to the bottle--he's practically asleep, I put him down...screaming ensues. ?Here I am almost 1 hour since the first scream and he's still going. ?He finally started to settle down about 10 min ago but we have a guest visiting who decided to go upstairs at about that time and the screaming has started all over. ?It's going to be a fun night. ?And here I was hoping I could go to bed early to catch some extra zzzs. ?No such luck. He will eventually stop screaming, right? ?He's not hungry, I've already tried comforting him. ?This sucks. ?That is all.

Re: I'm ready to poke my own eyes out!
I know no one is on here but I have to do something to occupy the time. ?In 10 minutes it will officially be 2 hours of crying. ?He's starting to settle I think but he's still going. ?I'm losing my mind. ?Hopefully there won't be another post after this one--hopefully I'll be going to sleep soon myself. ?Listening to your child cry for this long is incredibly hard...

He finally settled down and went to sleep. ?The good news is that he slept until 7 am so at least we weren't back up at 4 or 5 like usual. ?Then after he took his bottle at 7, he fell back asleep only to be awoken by the dogs about 10 min later. ?I was ready to kill the dogs! ?Here's hoping he takes some good naps today, although I doubt it. ?I think our guest has received some of the best birth control during his visit with us! ?:)

LOL I was just looking at the time stamps from your posts last night and thinking "poor Kim"! Glad he slept through - sometimes a long cry like that does the same for Liam and he'll sleep longer than I'm expecting, wears them right out. It seems like it never fails that we receive deliveries while Liam is sleeping, because Lacy always barks when someone rings the doorbell.
I was thinking when I read your first post that I bet this is good birth control for your guest, if they don't have kids already hehe!
