Our swing broke, once again, and we decided to return it whether they would give us store credit or not. We did not have the box anymore or the receipt, but I planned to just leave it at BRU even without money back b/c I am sick of dealing with it (don't buy the Graco Catalina; it's horrible).
Anyway, I showed up with the swing in tow, and explained that it was my second time returning the swing, and this time I just wanted a different brand. I told the guy I didn't have the receipt, and I really didn't care if he gave me store credit back or not. Either way it was not coming home with me. LOL I told him to look it up on my registry to see that it was in fact something bought for me off of my registry. Well, surprise, surprise, it wasn't even on my registry. He proceeded to hand me a store credit card, with a receipt saying that it was worth $136! I told him that the swing was only $90 or so, and he goes "Oh, the swing wasn't on your registry so I just scanned the pack 'n' play and said you returned that. Enjoy the extra money!"
I have had nothing but problems with BRU and they are usually so strict. I just can't believe that this guy, who was a manager by the way, was either too lazy to deal with me or was being super nice and felt bad. Either way, we got an amazing swing that was worth $50 more (FP Little Lamb or something like that) for free! I'm still in shock.
Re: I cannot believe what happened at BRU today!
Hey Mosers,
I have the same swing. What was going on with yours? Ours is a bittch to turn off, but livable.
Wow!
We have the same swing and never had a problem with it. Never even had to replace the batteries, and DS will be 8mo on Wednesday.
