Anyone have any suggestions for covering our existing outlet plates with our leftover border for the nursery?
I'm assuming some kind of glue, but our 1st attempt ended up with them not being flush to the wall so DH stopped the project for now.
I was pondering if hodge podge would work? Or just use the paste already on the border backing to smooth it on to the plate covers???
Re: outlet plates and how to cover them?
before you go that route you might want to pick up the safety plates so you can cover those instead. Save yourself a step!

I would use Mod Podge...

It comes in Matte or Glossy (Theres even some with glitter)
You can just use the adhesive that is already on the border. You cut a piece slightly bigger than the outlet cover, wet it, apply it over the cover and fold it around the back (diagonal cut the corners to make it fit without bunching, and it should hang over only about 1/4in to 1/2in the back. Let it dry completely and then use an exacto (sp?) knife or blade to cut the opening. I did it in my kitchen and it was really easy.
