Quick: How much tylonol..

for a 2 month old? I can't remember and it doesn't say on the drops

Re: Quick: How much tylonol..

  • My doctor's nurse said .8mL but I don't have much faith in her.  I gave Allie .4mL based on several doctor's recommendations online.

  • The dosage from our Dr is for 9-15 lbs .8mL
  • Thanks girls. I called the pharmacy and they said .4 mL
  • Isn't that so confusing???  I don't understand how there's not a standard dosage for a certain weight.  It seems to vary depending on whom you ask.  I never know who to believe, that's why we opted for the lower dosage.

  • The whole dosage thing is way confusing.  Even at 16 months I have no clue what to do.  Griffin ran a low fever today and i was debating what to give him.  I hope your LO is feeling better soon.

  • Here is a chart with dosages.

I think it is not as specific as it should be since the weights for each age can vary so much.

The correct dosage for Tylenol is 10-15 mg per kilogram of body weight.  Kg=weight in pounds divided by 2.2.  I am not going to give a tutorial on how to calculate everything out, but if you google, you will find out how to do that.
