Glycerin suppository for 2 y.o. toddler... which brand?

I purchased a brand of suppository specifically for a toddler a while back and forgot which one it was. Do you remember any brands that are popular in like a chain pharmacy?

Also, if the toddler hasn't pooped in how many days and has difficulty passing b/c of constipation do you administer the suppository? I THINK I remember my ped. saying by day 3 if they haven't pooped (does that sound about right?).

Thanks!

  • we have one in our med. cabinet but never got to it.  so i have no exp with the suppository. I checked , it is a Fleet babylax for ages 2-5. we had a prescription laxative that I would mix in matt's milk when he was having constipation issues last year and the meds would work within a few hours.

  • We use the Fleet brand.  My DS has been battling constipation for almost a year, so we give him Miralax mixed in his juice.  But if he is having a really hard time pushing and nothing is happening, I give it a day or two and then I use the suppository.  GL!
