Does your toddler have a pillow?

DS just turned 2 and loves mommy and daddy's pillows. I've been thinking about getting him a toddler sized one for his crib, but am thinking it should offer some cervical support, right? All I am finding online thus far is your basic 12x16 pillow. Am I over thinking this? TIA!

Re: Does your toddler have a pillow?

  • We gave my ds a pillow when he had a cold about 6 months ago and he never let us take it out.  But I am probably a flameful rule breaker since he also sleeps with 4 different blankets.  LOL

  • I gave my DD a pillow about 3 weeks ago. I just used a regular firm feather pillow. So far she loves it.
  • You are way overthinking this:) We gave DD the thinest pillows in the house because a new one was too fluffy for her. Oh and we gave her a regular size one.
  • If he's still in the crib it isn't the best idea because they can use those to help them climb out. ?We just got regular firm pillows for the girls when they got into a toddler bed.?

  • DD moved to a twin bed about 2 months before she turned 2.  She just has a regular pillow and blankets.  I don't use the top sheet or comforter yet.  They do make "toddler" pillows at BRU that are smaller and meant for a crib, but a regular size pillow will also fit in the crib.

  • We bought L a toddler sized pillow and he wanted nothing to do with it.  I ended up buying him a regular pillow and he loves it.

  • Yeah, I think you're over thinking it. We gave DD a pillow at 18 months. It is the one DH and I were willing to give up off of our bed.
  • LOL- leave it to me to overthink a pillow. I suppose it's because I have issues with my neck and am pillow picky.

Dande- he flipped himself out of his crib during a tantrum this weekend. Scared the crap out of us both, so I hope it deters him from trying to escape. But, I am weighing which to get rid of first: the evil pacifier or the crib. It's time for one to go....

  • DS has had a pillow in the crib for a while now.  He uses a regular pillow that was one of our old ones.

  • DD got a regular size (but pretty flat) pillow?around 18 months or so.
