Am i stupid to apply for a job right now? I read in the paper that a cafe is looking for a baker...not exactly my dream job but it would be nice to do SOMETHING in my field.?

?

I just feel stupid to call and interview and then say oh btw I'll need some time off in like 2 months. ?

You can apply, but more then likely they will not hire you until after you deliver.

I dont think it would be dumb. I mean everyone needs a job right? And they cant discriminate against you because you are pregnant. I think you should go for it and even if it doesnt work out..atleast you tried!

I would not be inclined to hire a PG woman due to needing time off, right as she was just getting the hang of the job.

However, all people are different, and maybe this would be a good fit for them. You never know until you try.

If you're committed to working after the baby is born, why not? I think its unfair to put up false pretenses to a potential employer, but if you're honest tell them what you're situation is, then i don't see how applying would be dumb.

ugh im in the same boat and im not sure...there is a restaurant opening in march and i would love to work there but what do you say...by the way im pregnant and cant start until "unknown date"...cause im due in march....i guess just apply and be honest.

It wouldn't hurt to apply! Explain your situation- everyone is in need of extra income right now and don't let your pregnancy deter you from attaining something. :]
