How long after your mc did you conceive again?

Hi ladies. I am the proud Mommy of a 2 1/2 year old and was expecting our second but found out we had a missed mc. I was SHOCKED to say the least. We are still healing (both physically and emotionally) but I was wondering when you got pg again. I know that I have to wait to see when I get my period but just thinking ahead due to my age. (I am 34...our baby's EDD was my 35 birthday....) I will ask my Dr. at our followup but wanted to see what you ladies in the "real world" experience. Thanks so much!

I am 37. We got pregnant first cycle after my miscarriage in November. I used a Clear Blue Easy Digital Ovulation Predictor kit.

I got pregnant the cycle right after a chemical pregnancy. Our miscarriage was last January, and we didn't start trying again until June.

my m/c was in october of last year & we found out that we where expecting again in january. my dr said that you are supposed to let you body heal for at least 90 days before you try again. we waiting almost exactly that.

((hugs)) I sorry for your loss. I had a misses m/c in April of last year. It took me 52 days to get my first AF After that cycle, it took me 4 cycles of activly TTC before I got this BFP. With waiting for my first AF and the 4 cycles it took about 6 months.

My Doctor wanted us to wait until I had one normal period to start trying again, it took us 6 months of trying to get pregnant again.

I remember posting the same question about a month ago. We had a mc 12/28/08 at 7w2d. A few weeks later I was curious to when I would get my period so we could start trying the cycle after. Well I started to feel different and I had a pregnancy test left over so I took it on 1/23.. It was positive. We knew it was a different pregnancy (and not the remaining hormones from the mc) because the dr had already finished our rounds of quant tests to make sure the hormone was down to "0" a couple weeks prior to that. The doctor said that sometimes your chances of mc do rise when you don't wait for a cycle but because I wasn't so far along with the mc last time it should be okay. No concerns and it's labeled a normal pregnancy. Crazy. I am 6 weeks now and due October 10^th. I went to have a sono done last week and yesterday...couldn?t see the heart beat either time but dr assured me everything was fine. The baby measured exactly a week to the day from the prior sono to the one yesterday. So baby is growing perfect. We hope to see the heart beat flickering on the screen next tuesday at 7 weeks.

I am so sorry for your loss.

I just turned 38 last week. I was very lucky and got pg the first cycle trying after a very early m/c (5.5 weeks). We did wait one cycle after the m/c before trying again.

My doctor wanted us to wait at least two cycles ( I had a natural m/c) which we did we got pregnant again 2 cycles later. I am so sorry about your loss. (((hugs)))

I am so sorry for your loss. It was such an emotional time for me, and TTC after the loss was really hard too. Both PL and TTCAL boards were really helpful for me. We had a chemical pregnancy and took one month off and then started trying again. It looks us 6 months to conceive and it's been a healthy pregnancy thus far. I'm 31.. I had a D&C on Nov 4th, got my period Dec 4th.. got preg in January. In the past, with DD I got preg on the first try, my second I got preg on the 2nd try.

i'm sorry for your loss.

i had my D&E on 12/1 and my doctor told us we could start trying after i got my period. i got af on 12/30 and we got pg in January. good luck!

I had a D&C and the dr said to wait until after having a normal AF before trying (the first one after the procedure isn't considered "normal"). We got pg on the 3rd or 4th cycle trying. GL!

I had a missed m/c in april and got pregnant again in September...so 5 months...we weren't actively trying - we thought we would have to wait til I had a procedure done to remove scar tissue from the d&c.

We tried for 1 year, got pg in Aug and I m/c in Sept. Was told to wait for AF, but I felt like I should give it a try b/c like you, I was 34 at the time. I ended up ovulating 16 days after passing the sac and got pg before the af. I turned 35 in nov and all is well so far. The reason she told me to wait was mainly emotional and I am so glad we went ahead and did not prevent/avoid because I am now due in July!

I got pg two weeks after my mc (not on purpose). I would recommend waiting at least once cycle before ttc bc my situation makes me more nervous.

I had a D&C the end of Sept, got AF the end of Oct, and then we started trying in November, and on the 3rd cycle, I got pg again.

I got pregnant on our third cycle, which was the first cycle we actually timed sex correctly and pulled ALL the stops (preseed, acupuncture, charting, green tea, etc.)

I'm 36 - I understand about not wanting to wait too long to try again. We started trying the first cycle after my first post-mc AF (which took about 6 weeks to arrive) and got pregnant on the 4th cycle of TTC (about 6 months post m/c). It was also my second cycle of Clomid. Good luck to you!

It took us a little over a year and 2 IUIs, but most people get pregnant again sooner. My DH was dx with a low sperm count but somehow I got pregnant on our own the first time and m/c. GL!

my info is in my siggy -- but my m/c was long and drawn out so I got pg again 3.5 months from when I intially m/c -- and about a month and a half after my D&C.
