Children of the Mountains? 20/20 (I think)
It was sad. ?But I couldn't believe people actually put soda in baby bottles. ?I got that money was tight. ?But even water would be better.?
ETA: ?Money was tight, couldn't afford milk. ?So soda was the drink of choice.?
Re: Did anyone watch
Super duper sad, but I think a misrepresentation of those people overall. First, there are people like that everywhere I think (I mean, its great they did that story and I realllly hope it helps those people, but here in the Memphis area a mama who watered down her baby's formula to make it last longer and the baby died!), and second - there are people who do well and make a great living for themselves in those areas as well and I wish they would've documented a bit of that. (My family is primarily from right around those hills they were documenting).
I really hope those kids get help, especially the ones with drug addicted parents and that teenage boy who went to college on the scholarship and couldn't afford it. So sad.
Oh yea I know there are?misrepresentations. ?So I always just watch things knowing that. ?I am sure there are?similar?situations elsewhere and good ones there.

That's what I said. My DH set out to prove that gallon for gallon, soda is much cheaper.
I said that we're on a bigtime budget, and one of the things we DON'T buy is soda because we don't NEED it. But obviously my priorities are much different. We buy organic things on a budget, lol.
