Embarrassing moment at the Slam Dunk comp this weekend.

So I'm at the Slam Dunk competition this weekend with a friend, and afterwords, we went outside realizing that we didn't take a single picture all night.  So, I turn to the first person I see and ask the lady if she would mind taking a picture... here's the exchange:

me: "excuse me, would you mind taking a picture for me?"

lady: (asked almost annoyed...) "of who?"

me:  "uuuuuum, me and my friend.  no celebrities here, just us ladies" (I'm feeling a lot like this is a trick question)

lady's friends:  "hahahahahaha" doubled over in laughter 

after she take the picture--

lady's friends:  "do you know who this is?"

me: as the blood drains from my face "noooooooo... should I?"

friends: "that's Shaq's mom..."

all run off laughing and me mortified.

So, if Shaq's mom thought she was some sort of celebrity, well, I certainly brought her back down to earth.  That was the closest I got to any level of 'celebrity' all night.  hahahahaha

    Too bad you didn't know Shaq was going to come on stage yesterday and dance like that.  You could have told her it was a bad idea and that he'd look like a giant moron   Smile

    hahaha.  Somehow I totally love all the moronic things that Shaq does.  I go to a lot of games, and love to watch how he interacts with the kids that sit around him.  On more then one occassion he has pulled this kid who's dad has season tix behind the bench on the court to join in on the huddle/jumping thing.  I love how he is such a big kid... even if sometimes he does look like an idiot.
