Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Tummy sleeping - diaper soaking thru!! ack!!

Ava has decided she likes to sleep on her belly, and she's waking up alot with the front of her jammies & onesie soaked with piddle. She sleeps 12 hours straight at night. Let sleeping babies lie.

I put a pampers on her at night, with extra room in the front, and the size is still right for her. (at least I think it is)

Any tricks to keeping this from happening? Maxi pad? what? ;-)

Thanks.

  • Go up a size. That has worked very well for us.

  • Huggies overnights are good. Occassionally my super soaker kid will leak out of one, but for the most part they do the job.

  • We use huggies over nights.  They are hard to find in a size 3 around here, but 4 worked fine just overlapped the tabs.  Or you could use the regular diaper and just go up a size a night.

  • DD has had the same thing happen quite a few times. We use Pampers during the day but I use Huggies at night. They hold the pee in much better.

  • Maxi pad works for us!  We also will put him in a size up and that works too.  We had to play around with different things for a while until we found something that worked for us.  He still has a few accidents a month, but anything is better than soaking through to the mattress every night.
  • Pampers Cruisers are famous for this.. but I switched to Pampers Baby Dry ( 5 more for the same price), and they work much better. I'm loyal to Pampers.. I really dont like Huggies.
  • we have that problem too.  And we do use overnights one size bigger!  And he still soaks them!

  • Good old fashioned rubber pants. You can get ones by Gerber for $5 for a pack of four at Walmart. Reusable and cheap, too!
