I started Sophie on purees around 6 months. She loved it at first but all of a sudden she stopped. I've tried feeding her before her bottle...all different times to see if it's a timing thing but that hasn't worked. And I've tried feeding her what I know are her favorites. She is also refusing finger foods. She only wants her bottle. I'm not sure what I should do. I've heard of babies not wanting their bottles but not the other way around. Has anyone experienced this?
She's 8 months old BTW.
Re: DD stopped eating solid foods
Could it be teething? If she hasn't cut any teeth yet and this is her first time refusing solids, teething might be the reason. You can trying feeling around on her gums for any solid spots or look for areas of swelling. Usually they get the top two or bottom two first so start there.
My boys hardly eat anything when they are in the thick of cutting teeth (right before the tooth breaks through). They are currently cutting all four molars and it's been rough trying to get them to eat anything. All they want are their bottles. The good news is that once the tooth breaks through and the swelling subsides, they go right back to eating solid food again.
Hope that helps!
