Funny NICU Flash Back

They are doing work at the end of our hospital wing that requires they turn off the HVAC system.  This makes every sound in the hallway and the rooms next door magnified.  So calm the boys and make noise to drown out the suddenness of the caos outside our door we put the tv on to the channel with the nature images and water sounds and spa music like they had in the NICU.  DH and I completely forgot the narcaleptic effect this had on us in the NICU.  We would be kangarooning and pinching ourselves to keep our eyes open while holding our little 1 and 2 lb babies.  Right now we're struggling to stay awake while the boys keep getting disturbed by nurses and doctors and cleaning staff. 

Must. change. channel. zzzzz.......

    Sounds like a 5 star hotel for sure :)  Our NICUs didn't have any spa/nature themes going!  just lots of beeps and alarms. I hope you're guys are comfy there and your stay finishes soon.
