painting the crib??

So my SIL is giving us a crib and maybe a dresser/changing table but its the wrong color and I want to paint it white. With the correct prep work, and a careful pain job do you think it will be an issue?

I suck at prep, but I will have my DH do that and I will paint. I have read the only think to look for is when the baby can stand to get a crib gaurd for the top.

I'm scared of painted cribs for when they get big enough to pull themselves up and bite the rails... just look for non toxic paint!!!

I think that it would be fine to do just make sure you get the non toxic paint... everything should be fine.

Check the paint to make sure it's non-toxic and get a crib guard like you said.
