POLL: how often do you call/visit the ped?

I end up calling once a weekend at least.  Between pink eye, fevers, EI's, etc I always need help now that can't wait until monday.  I mean if i know has has pink eye on saturday, im not waiting until Monday to treat it.

we go at least weekly right now.  Morgan has had ear infection after ear infection.

 i feel like they think i'm crazy - but my kids are always sick.  i called last night after morgan had a fever of 103.3 for several hours and AFTER she had motrin and tylenol.  they are super nice about it, but i feel like i am ALWAYS calling or making appts.

anyone else?

i figure, f-it.  I pay them.

    morgan has also needed multiple breathing treatments and had wheezing issues all winter.

    I call anytime there's an issue... Jake's been pretty healthy this winter, but last winter was brutal! We were there every week it seemed like!

    very rarely.  I think I am too lax actually sometimes.  Like he had a rash for a couple of weeks before I brought him in (b/c I thought it was to detergent/sunscreen and it would get better for a day and then worse again or whatever).

    So far this cold season I have brought him in once for s sinus infection and I called once on a friday b/c he had a fever and I wasnt sure if I should bring him in b/c of the weekend.  

    I have called for my baby once b/c she had a cold at 3 weeks or something.

    I've never called the doctor and they both have only gone for their regular well baby checkups.  I too, though, feel like sometimes I let things slide and then wonder if I should have called the doctor. 

    I wouldn't feel bad about it.  You pay them.  At least you're getting your money's worth!

    They probably see dollar signs when they find out it's you calling. LOL Just kidding....

    We don't go very often anymore, since DS is only going yearly now. But, even so, we'd probably see them once in between our regular appts. Usually, within a week or two before or after his normal appt.

    That's what they're there for. If I can't get in with the pedi I'll take Jacob to a nighttime ped's place. Theyr'e good too in a pinch!

    We had Katy's well baby visit last March.  In the 11 months since then, we have been to the doctor twice.  I haven't called other than to make those two appointments.  DD is almost three and she is an only child (for another month) so I guess that accounts for why we don't have more sickness in our house.

    Pretty much only call for the regular check up appointments and follow ups (from 1 to 2, she had to go to 2 specialist regularly).  I have only taken her to the doctor outside of that 3 times.  2 times when she had rotovirus at 8 months and once I took her to the emergency room with croup in the middle of the night because she was having ferbile seizures.
