Hi everyone. ?My husband and I are trying to figure out if we can afford for me to work part time next school year. ?My son will be about 8 months. ?I'm trying to get an idea of what child care costs would be. ?We are open to day care, in home child care, or a nanny. ?I'm looking for 2-3 days a week. ?Thanks for the info.
Re: Childcare costs?
I looked into a couple of daycares and this is what I found (off the top of my head, so this may be +/- ...)
Kindercare in Aliso Viejo - $355/wk
Tutor Time in Laguna Niguel - $315/wk
OCC daycare center - $65/day
we pay $207 a week for full time care at a daycare
?we went a couple places who offer part time and they were around $175 a week?
Mom to Skylar Kayla and Beck Dylan
Our in home daycare is $150/wk for 3 days. It's a little more since DD is <2 yrs. Once she's 2+, it goes down, but I'm not sure the amount. The in-home daycare also provides breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
I checked out a child care center in HB, and it was $220/wk f/t for <2 yrs. Goes down after 2 yrs, but I forget to what.
We also started out with a nanny service. They charged $12/hr plus a daily travel fee of $6. However, their rates have since gone up. We interviewed one nanny who was going to charge $10/hr. We found prices there variable between $10-15/hr.
