Ok, I just read on the 0-6 month thread, as I have read several other places, that you push with the same muscles you poop with. Can I just say...NO. You are not pooping out the baby!
Our Childbirth educator had us do a very nice exercise. Clear your throat. The muscles you feel when you clear your throat - THOSE are the ones you want to push with.
(And given that I DID use those muscles, and did NOT poop on the table with DD, I'm agreeing with her.)

Exactly! I had the same experience. I did a few "practice pushes", and then DD was born 2 pushes later.
Same here. Didn't poop and delivered her after 25 minutes of pushing like that.
