DS starting "School"!

My sister called saying that she found a mothers day out program by her house for her dd (only a few weeks older than ds).  She took my niece there yesterday to check it out and she said it was great.  My niece didn't want to leave.  So I talked to my mom (she keeps ds during the day) and we are going to send ds to mothers day out Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-2 and my mom will pick him up and we will pay her for 4 days a week.  We end up only paying out $4 more a week but it gets ds in school and it keeps my mom from the poorhouse.  Woohoo I am excited. 

Now I have to figure out what to send him with for lunch other than peanut butter.  They don't heat things up there and ds doesn't like cold foods.  Any suggestions?

    You could put soup, mac & cheese, pasta, etc in a thermos.  They do still make them!  Maybe heating food really hot and wrapping the container in foil and a towel?  You may be surprised at what they'll eat in a "social" setting.  Kids don't like to be different at school.
