Those who have had 3D US...

in 2nd Trimester

Originally I didn't care about spending the extra money to do this, but lately I've been thinking about it more and more.  I looked up a place in my area and it would be $150.  Was it like..10 times better than you even thought it was going to be? Would you 110% recommend this to someone debating it?

    Loved it. Having it done twice (last week at 16w 3d and again around 30w). It's worth it. Got lots of pictures printed out, pics on a cd and a dvd of the whole thing. So we were able to make copies of the cd and dvd for our moms and whoever else wanted them. Seriously, it's awesome!!

    We just did ours last night and it was totally amazing! We are planning on doing it again later on. I would totally recommend it for 150 dollars. We got the DVD and I have already watched it 3 times!

    Yes! ?We bought a 2 U/S package deal for $229. ?I am going to go back at around 30 weeks. ?We not only got 31 great pictures on CD but we also got a DVD of the entire thing. ?It is the only time you will ever see your little one looking like that. ?I would highly recommend it!

    I think we're gonna do one for valentine's day. I've been going back and forth with it in my mind, but I think I might regret not doing it. I say go for it!

    We didn't have one done with DD....no big deal.  The only reason we got one this time around was because one of the twins looked like it had a marker for trisomy 18 so they did a 4D ultrasound of their faces to look for other markers.  We didn't pay extra to have this done.  I wouldn't want to spend that kind of money on a 4D ultrasound.  It seems like a waste of money to me just to do for fun.

     I did not like the pics at 20 weeks. Actually, everyone I've shown them to has been, well, horrified. Funniest comment "is that skeletor in there?" - saddest comment "I can't imagine you and your husband having an unattractive baby. hope he or she gets a little cuter." In these medical people's defense, 20 weeks not a very attractive "cute" phase in development - no body fat.

    we'll get another set at 30 weeks. the tech PROMISED us that they'll be much much more cute and baby like at that stage.

    Ditto this. The tech said at our 20 wk u/s that the baby has very little fat at that point, & ?a lot of ppl think something is wrong w/ their baby. She showed us a few pics but she said she wasn't really supposed to b/c so many ppl freak out. The only reason she did is b/c DH is studying to be an u/s tech, & I knew her personally from selling her a car years before. She said 28 weeks or more is best for a 3d/4d u/s b/c LO will look more filled out & cute at that point.?

    I had it done with DD. We got a DVD witch is probably the coolest part! I want to do that for this one too.

    Although I do think doing it twice in one pg is a waste of money. The 3D isn't great until you are like 35 weeks or somethin.

    I got my first one at 14 weeks and it was great!  I completely bonded with our little son and I re-watch the DVD and show everyone the pictures all the time.  I am doing it again too!  Our family bought us a package so we didn't have to pay for them, but I would pay the money myself if they hadn't given us this gift!
