We received alot of short sleeved onesies in all different sizes, 0-3, 3-6, and 6-9. ?We received some sleep and play type of one piece outfits in newborn size... we have maybe 10 of them. ? Then most everything else is bigger than newborn and again it's just a few sleep and plays or some pants/shirt outfits.?
?How many outfits do I need? Also what about sleeping? ?I was thinking they'd sleep in a onesie and a miracle blanket or some other swaddling type blanket, but we don't have any of those blankets yet either.?

Re: amount of clothes needed?
Mine were born at 35w6d & weighed 4.5 & 5 lbs. ?They wore preemie size (from babyGAP...not sure how others' sizing runs) for the first 2-3m. ?Then they were in 0-3m for literally about 2w! ?Then their size ran true w/their age.
In preemie size, we had 6 elastic-bottom gowns (LOVED them!) for nighttime, 9 long-sleeved onesies, & 2 cardigan/pants "outfits" (one for each of them, mostly for picture-taking!). ?To me, this was the perfect amount of clothes for the first 2-3m. ?We swaddled them in regular receiving blankets...just make sure they're large enough (some brands were just too small). ?Amy Coe brand from Target was my favorite, but probably someone who's bought receiving blankets more recently can offer more/better choices! ?Once they were in 3-6m size, I started "dressing" them more...mostly one-piece rompers, or pants/tops (I hate onesies, though!). ?HTH!
Different people like different types of outfits. I'm a fan of the sleep and play things. The rule of thumb I used is that we went through about two outfits per baby per day for the first several months. Then you need to figure out how often you will do a load of their laundry. We did a load of laundry at least every 4 days, so I always tried to have at least 16 outfits in their current size. Keep in mind that you will receive outfits as gifts when the babies are born, so don't worry about making sure you have enough of any particular size until the babies are ready for that size.
My girls slept in a onsie and a swaddle me blanket. I love those swaddle me blankets. We have four of the swaddle blankets too.
