How soon after getting a foot on crib edge did DC get out?

I walked in on DD today with one foot on the top of the crib rail. How soon after your DC did this were they able to get out of the crib?

I really am not ready for her to be in a toddler bed, but this makes me think we'll be making the transition much earlier than I planned. I am so not looking forward to this.

She fell out of bed that same evening... it was awful! I should have taken the crib down after her nap when I saw her do that! If I were you I would make it into a toddler bed asap! GL!

fwiw--S started climbing out at 15 months...we started using a crib tent immediately after and she is still in her crib now. that crib tent is a God-send! I could not even imagine her in a toddler bed--she wouldn't stay in it.?
