He's on DH's lap and he's so full of gunk in the throat that it's hard to listen to him breathe. Occasionally he coughs too. I posted last night about the cough and we had already elevated the crib mattress, but what else can we do for him? I seem to remember #1 having this same issue at 6 weeks and the pedi having us give him sips of water to try to loosen it a bit.
Thoughts on what else we can do?
Re: Oh man, the baby is so phlegmy...
It's not in his nose, it's in the throat. DH wanted to try this and I told him not to since I always thought the sucker thing was for the nose only? That might sound stupid...
DS3 had reflux, and it made him really phlegmy, so the dr. said if I could suck it out with a new bulb and not have to go too far in, then go for it. Like if I could get him to cough a little up and it's in his mouth then go for it. So I would burp him for a few mins. (seconds?) and get it out
