2nd Trimester

Sharing the news...!

I'm now 13 weeks, and just started sharing the news with friends and my work.  We are going through some restructuring and potential layoffs  I told my boss yesterday and he was wonderful about it which is such a relief!

I know it's a personal decision as to when to "tell", but now that I've "told" I'm PANICKING that something will go wrong...has anyone else had this reaction?

No matter how many times I reassure myself that the risk of miscarriage is really low at this point, and we've heard the heartbeat, etc, I am still so paranoid and freaked out, especially now that the news is starting to spread like wildfire in my office!

  • I too panicked after we shared, but I also knew that everyone would be supportive IF anything happened, so I enjoyed having fun with them thinking and talking about baby stuff whenever they asked.  (And it made me not look so crazy for eating more often and peeing all the time).

Yes, tickers are good.  (And congratulations!)

It seems like this is her first post, she hasn't gotten around to tickers yet lets give her a break.

  • There we go - ticker officially added!  (I'm new to this whole thing but the ticker is fun!)  Glad I'm not the only who freaked out a bit after sharing the news.  Everyone is thrilled for me, and I'm sure they would all be very supportive if something happened - maybe it's just starting to feel more real and that's making me nervous! Tongue Tied
  • I also got really nervous about telling and then something going wrong.  I think it's pretty natural to worry.  We'll be doing it for the rest of our lives now!  I think your ticker is off since you said in your first post that you're 13 weeks.
