is cooper always this disorganized? i had a post coital last night, although it was way too early for it to provide any good information. a staff member took me back to an exam room and told me to drop trow, and then i sat in the room for 45 MINUTES before a nurse popped her head in and claimed that no one told her i was in here. i was soo annoyed. a simple b/w, u/s, and postcoital test wound up taking almost 2 hours.
i have to go back 2xs on saturday. first to get in before the blood run, then the earliest u/s appt. i could get was at 11:15 for the u/s...so, i give blood, go home, come back and do u/s and post coital. is it always like this? how do you deal with it during the work week?

You don't need to go back twice on Saturday -I usually get there @8 and am out by 8:30 even with an appt at 11/12....

Go in early for the bloodwork - you have an appt for an US - that's all that matters - they take them first - you should be out within 30minutes total with BW/US...
yes - they are usually that disorganized.but i also have a post coital. will they do that at 8:30 too? i didn't understand why i had to wait until 11:15 for an ultrasound, when i had to be in early for b/w. i did consider coming in early, and just putting my name on that blue sheet anyway, and just trying to get in at that time.
it's all a bit frustrating.

After reading your post - I made a call to find out why they never suggested the short IVF - she told me probably because I wasn't a candidate - I NEVER heard about it - reading your post just got me more angry with all the miscommunication and disorganization we experienced @Cooper....but I do feel they are better than the others......
I read the link posted, and in my opinion I would have been a better candidate for that than the full IVF.
this is SO frustrating.
I have ONE left (covered on ins), and I don't know what's next.....more IUI's?...I don't want someone else's DNA, so ED is not an option.
Are you doing anything other than the short IVF?
we have no idea what we will be doing. we jumped to ivf with sj fertility because of dh's low morphology. his morph seems to be much better now, so dr. check wants to do a naturally monitored cycle this month (with maybe progesterone support after O), and then depending on what he finds out, we may attempt an iui next cycle...but i already told him that i don't want to do another ivf cycle until after we get back from arizona (which puts us into april).
he recommended a mini stim ivf for us (if we continue with ivf after all the testing) because we had no luck with a long lupron protocol (3 cycles). he thinks that it wasn't the right protocol for me. perhaps he didn't recommend that for you, because it's not the right protocol based on your particular case. it certainly doesn't hurt to ask him what he thinks about mini ivf based on your case.

so, to ask again, even though i don't have my u/s and post coital appts. until 11:15 on saturday morning, you think i can show up around 8 and still get the u/s that early...and maybe even the pc?
I feel like a was a little spoiled by the organization at sj fert. I've heard and experienced that there aren't any other fertility places in the area that are as organized. I'm sorry that you're already frustrated with Cooper. The same thing happened when I got my second opinion with Delaware Valley. I ended up in tears each day because I was so frustrated.
Which doctor did you have your last wtf appointment with at sj fert? Did you mention to that doctor that you want them to change your protocol?
i didn't have a wtf appt. with sj fertility. once i heard that they wanted to continue with the same protocol for ivf #4 with no additional testing, i knew i was done with them. i really liked dr. check at cooper, so i'll just have to overlook the front staff being so incredibly disorganized. i can't justify wasting my time and money with sj fert anymore (although i did really like the drs there). dh and i have to do what we feel is right, and we are confident that cooper can get us the result we want.
