NBR: O.M.G.....The Mist (movie)

Has anyone seen The Mist? DH and I just got finished watching it. I have a POUNDING headache from sobbing my eyes out at the end. I literally am sick to my stomach over it. Ugh.

  • Yup. Typical Stephen King with a crazy sad ending. Have you read the short story?  The ending is completely different.

  • Ugh... it was twisted.

Interstingly enough - I watched it on my laptop in the hospital, after giving birth to DD.  It was one of the movies we had from Netflix.

I have read almost all his books. We actually have it...DH read it. Do I want to read it? Although I'm interested in the different ending.

  • Confession:  I absolutely cannot watch any horror/scary movies.  I get wicked nightmares.

But I wiki the plots of almost every horror movie there is so I know the "story"  I wiki plots before I watch movies in the theater.

    I'm such a chicken...

Ditto!!!  I did this for I am Legend and 28 weeks later.  I was able to watch I am Legend but don't have the guts for 28 weeks.

I also can't watch, but read.  And if there's any question, I will google it before heading to the theater.  Admitted wuss here.

  • This makes no sense, but I used to be able to watch anything.  I even sat through the first 3 Saw movies--disgusting and sick.  But ever since getting pregnant I just can't--I can't handle the gore, but I really can't handle the mindfvck.

  • We saw this in theaters before we knew I was pg. I am a freak and actually really liked it. We were talking about it the other day because I know I couldn't watch it now. I have PTSD and anxiety issues that came out even more when I was pg and watching certain things will send me into a flashback/panic attack... watching the end would not be a good thing for me. I miss scary movies and even some action flicks at this point :( Wiki'ing them doesn't sound like a bad idea.
  • I had nightmares after watching that movie. It was so sad and it was actually a shocking ending compared to a lot of movies these days.
