How old are your children? I also live on the west side of town and have a 3 1/2 and 1 1/2 year old. I am a teacher so it's been hard for me meet other working moms. I would love to start a group if anyone is interested.

My daughter is almost 18 months and my son is still baking. I work FT as well, but need to get out with her more on the weekends - especially since we are likely switching to a nanny and she is used to being around other kiddos.

Not on the west side, but I'd be willing to drive! It's definitely harder when you work, since lots of the active groups meet during the week!
I third the meetup suggestion. And I'm an organizer of Moms on Memorial, our local group in our area. But alas, we are mostly stay at home moms so most things are during the week. But you can always come along for Mom's Night Out!
Re: How to find a mom's group?
Have you tried meetup.com? Also, there are MOPS groups in all parts of town. You can get on the MOPS website to find one(s) in your area.
That's how we found ours. There are a few that are for working moms as well.

Shut up. That's close to my house. I work at I-10 and Hwy 6. I live at Hwy 6 and Bissonette area.
You know what I mean! I need more than one baby outing a month - especially if we do the nanny.
