Those that own a Honda...

Does your radio turn itself down for no reason? You are listening to it at a medium level, and it goes down to extremely low?

It happened in my 03' Honda Accord, and is now happening in my 05' Honda Accord. It also happened to one of my friends.

Re: Those that own a Honda...

  • No, haven't had that happen.

  • Loading the player...
  • Does it have the feature that it 'regulates' itself to compinsate for road noise?

  • Nope.  I have a CRV and DH has an Accord (04) and neither of our cars do it.

I didn't see this in the owner's manual. Interesting. Maybe I need to re-read it again in case I missed it. It's just strange.?

  • Have you tried calling the dealership? I just got a new Acura (which IS a Honda) and it's never done that.

But good grief, you need a class on all the techy features a new car has! I even told the salesguy I didn't have time for him to show me everything... I was hungry, it was getting late & DD was with me!

  • I have a civic and its never done that, but I have also changed the radio twice.
  • I have an 06 Civic and the radio gets lower as I slow down. Like PP said, it's a feature that regulates itself for road noise. You can turn it off, though, if you don't like it.

  • yes- its a feature on the car. You can adjust to your liking if you dont want it to do that.
