Who to invite to the 1st birthday party?

We have no family in the area though my parents and sister are flying in for it.

We have a lot of close friends who have no kids.  Then, I have met a lot of moms at Gymboree and a mom's group I go to.

I am not close with everyone in my mom's group, so do you think it would be ok to not invite everyone?  There is about 15 moms in the group and I am thinking of inviting 5 or so?

There is maybe one or two moms at Gymboree I would like to invite also.  And that group is about 10 and some overlap into my other mom's group.

All I can think of when I was doing wedding invitations and how you should invite everyone in a group...or no one at all.

    IMO I dont think that you have to invite everyone. I would just invite the people that you have gotten to know the best. If you are worried about hurting someone's feelings, just ask the moms you invite to keep it quiet that they are coming so no one feels left out.?
