Warm weather = dehydrated?

It's about 75 degrees here today and I took DS for a walk to the library. He seems really warm to me, and also got hungry a lot sooner than usual afterwards, and is being really fussy right now. I'm wondering if he could be dehydrated.

I would call my pedi but the office is already closed and I don't think it's an emergency...but I'm thinking about maybe giving him some pedialyte, or at least mixing some in with his next bottle. Does anyone else know if warm weather can cause dehydration in a baby?

  • I don't know but I would imagine it would. That makes sense. I know sometimes their soft spot sinks in when they are dehydrated. I would feed him on demand and keep track of his wet diapers. Good luck!
