Halfway open at bedtime. We're using a humidifier, and you aren't supposed to close off a room with a humidifier in it, as the moisture level could get too high. We do it halfway so my snoring doesn't wake him up (we're across the hall)!
We leave it slightly cracked...Our upstairs is open like a loft area so he can hear noises downstairs if it's open. We have the baby crack machine too so that helps.
We used to leave it open but now we leave it partially closed to keep some noises out, while still allowing air to flow (we have only 2 heat vents upstairs so it doesn't keep things a good temp if we shut doors).
Closed, for bedtime and naps. Mostly because I think it's more quiet for her that way, and also because of the cats. I don't think they'd try to get in the crib with her or anything, but our two males wrestle a lot, which is loud.
ILs always leave her door open with the TV blaring in the next room when they babysit her. It drives me nuts and she doesn't sleep as well.
Usually closed for both - DH sometimes turns the TV up really loud (although she's shown she can sleep through an orchestra performance, so...) and I swear she can hear my alarm go off in the morning. It also keeps her room cooler, which is good for her coughing.
Closed for both because he would wake up from all the noise. At night, we leave the bathroom door open between our rooms so we can hear him (but we also have a monitor in case we want it closed).
Closed. Otherwise, there would be kitty cat wrestling matches going on in there in the middle of the night (their preferred time to do this). Also, we have a 50+ year old house with squeaky hardwood floors.
Closed b/c we have a cat that we do not allow in our bedrooms, and an open door would be too tempting. Also, DH's alarm clock would wake DD while I'm in the shower in the morning before it would ever wake him
Re: Poll: DC's door open or closed for bed?
Closed at naptime, to keep it quiet.

When it's not winter, we close his door.
Ditto - I keep it open a crack but we have a dog that runs up and down the stairs and I don't want to risk waking him up.

I leave it open a few inches.
The door is open about 1/4 way.
