I don't understand why someone with 6 other children would pursue fertility drugs especially since she and her parents already filed for bankruptcy before hand. Am I missing something here?

I can't believe that her fertility doctor would even consider giving her IVF...there's absolutely no excuse for that, unless she lied about all of the other children, I guess.

I read somewhere (not sure if it's fact or speculation) that the fertility drugs may have been obtained from a relative who worked with the drugs. No one's been able to trace back to the doctor who provided the drugs so far. Very scary!

i would not be surprised if she got the drugs illegally and did this w/out supervision, however it was a sperm donor, so it had to have been some medical professional who did IUI or IVF. At first I thought it was unmonitored Clomid w/ an irresponsible Dr. like J&K+8 but now I really have no idea.

When Barbara Walters interviewed the pregnant "man" and he said that they purchased the sperm online and there was no doctor involved in the process. So I guess it is possible that not only did she get the drugs illegally but she just ordered some sperm online.

This story really burns my arse. I am adamantly opposed to trying to have more than 3 babies at a time anyway....

It makes me sick that a single, unwed mother is able to have this many children. And MY ass (taxes) is going to have to pay for them. It makes me absolutely sick. I wish they would give her 8 babies away to couples waiting to adopt. That would make a wonderful story!

Oh that IS true! I had forgotten about that! Good old turkey baster, some random sperm and, illegal fertility drugs messing up your body = GREAT way to make a,er 8, babies!

I personally think she either used a doctor in Mexico or somewhere out of the country, or bought the drugs illegally on line. Do a search its really easy.

You can buy sperm on line. Most reputable places will only ship to a doctor or to your home only after receiving permission from a doctor. I use to tell dh it was like shopping for shoes! You put in what you want and it pops up all the ones that match.

This woman is a nut in my opinion. They are trying to get their own tv show. I hope if they do they are forced to pay back the $$ the taxpayers are paying to support her kids.

I couldn't agree with you more. ?That's the truth...we as tax payers will continue to pay taxes that go towards the welfare, WIC and medical insurance to pay for them. ?And, because I know several social workers, I happen to know that kids raised in the system also receive breakfast and lunch every day for school for free {even thought their family gets food stamps- but god forbid someone have to make them breakfast or lunch} and even in some situations recieve clothing allowances ?and birthday or christmas presents from donated non for profit collections. ?This is such a joke! ?Talk about you burning up, I'm disgusted as well. ?As a degreed professional with two household incomes you ask yourself ?where's my incentive? ?I pay for the those who were probably under achievers and lazy in class and someday, when they are still recieving numerous government handouts and qualifying for every program under the sun, we will be retired and will be told that we don't qualify for anything unless we mortgage our our homes and drain our savings accounts! ?Can you stand it? ?And while I know not everyone abuses the system, sadly enough, it is only a minority of folks who use the welfare system for what FDR intended.
