I've been exclusively BF-ing my DD for six months, but my work schedule has changed and I don't think I'll be able to keep pumping enough at work to replace the bottles she's drinking. Unfortunately, I don't know squat about formula --brands, types, etc. -- and would love some advice as I consider supplementing. Is there a certain kind that's more appropriate for introducing at six months? She's already started solids (cereal and veggies at this point), so maybe she won't have as big a problem with a new taste as she might have earlier? And I hope to continue to BF aside from 1-2 bottles a day. Is that realistic? TIA!

Re: Need to start supplementing with formula at 6 mo. -- any advice?
I BFd for 7.5 months and just recently switched to all formula. However, my supply had already started to dip around 6/6.5mos so I had no choice but to give 1 bottle a day...which turned to 2, and then back to 1, and finally a downward spiral to 2 again, 3, and finally 4.
So I guess what I'm saying is I did it slowly and over 6wks. Even if I didnt' plan it that way. She takes GoodStart (green can) and I really like it best because most importnatly, DD tolerates it and secondly because it shakes up really well. Enfamil with froth up for days
