in 1st Trimester
when did you tell the school nurse that you were pregnant? It was my impression that they need to be made aware so incase there are any health issues thay can alert you as soon as possible

    Hmmm, I hadn't even considered that. What kind of school do you work at, elementary, high? I'm at a HUGE high school...I kinda feel like communicable diseases were a bigger deal in elementary school (hygiene skills less engrained?), but maybe I should mention it.

    I mentioned it to her right before summer break started (7 weeks or so). I teach MS, by the way.

    I work in an elementary school and I haven't told her yet. But I'm telling my supervisor tomorrow so the rest of the building should know soon.

    We don't have a school Nurse, but I told my vice-p and p on Monday (11 weeks), so I expect to tell the rest of my work friends in the next few weeks.  I'd say definitely tell the nurse, because I'm sure she'll keep it to herself (she's a professional and all) and then you'll know if anything bad comes up.
