What did DC do before crawling?

What led up to crawling?  Just curious!  DS is trying to get on all fours, but flops on his belly... awww... :-)

He'd get on all fours and rock back and forth like those little zippy cars we used to play with - just revving his engine! He did that for about a month. Then he'd start to hop like a bunny - put his hands out and hop his knees up to meet his hands. Often falling on his face...

All fours, rocking back and forth for a couple weeks. Then she figured out how to move her legs, so she would get them under her and then flop forward - did this for a week probably. A few days ago, she figured out how to move her hands and now she's all over the place.

DS would get up on all fours, but then lower himself slowly to the ground and kind of inch himself like a worm to move or keep sitting up then lowering himself down until he got where he wanted.  Other times he would just roll!  LOL...

He would get up on all fours, rock back and forth, and then flop onto his belly and wiggle forward to get where he wanted to go.  He did that for about three weeks and then all of the sudden he was literally all over the place.
