do you pick her up? Is it a bad dream? DD will scream & never open her eyes & it's getting worse. I'm wondering if I should wait to pick her up when she actually opens her eyes & wakes up????
DS has done this 2-3 times per night the last three weeks! And I have no idea why - I hate it! We don't pick him up (or even talk to him), I give him his paci and it soothes him and he'll continue to sleep. The past two nights, I've been a little slower to go running (because I know he's asleep still), so I watch the clock for one minute, then walk towards the nursery to see if he'll self-soothe with his hand. He self-soothed twice now (taking no longer than 1-2minutes). But the other few times I again just give him his paci and it works - but it's not something I want to do every night...but I would never let him CIO sleeping or not.
I don't know what it is and hope someone else has a great idea.
It is hard to tell, but if her eyes are closed and she is really asleep, this could just be a sleep sound and I would let her alone unless she wakes up and is crying (or if it lasts a long time). ?DS fusses in his sleep, doesn't cry usually but is noisy and his eyes stay closed. ?He settles down in between fussing and the whole time stays?asleep. ?Some nights he sleeps quietly and some really loud. ?It?isn't?uncommon?for babies to cry, whimper, grunt etc in?their?sleep. ?I would try waiting it out and see if you can figure out what she is doing!
Here's a link to a more detailed description of my problem. DD is swaddled in a Woombie b/c she wakes herself up more trying to suck on her hands. And she won't take a paci.
Is your situation similar...It takes us 2-3 hrs of her waking up like this before she's asleep for good.
I have the same problem. I pick DS up because it breaks my heart to hear him cry but he always wakes up. One time I walked away to grab a diaper and he settled back down on his own.....
On the night you were born, the moon smiled with such wonder that the stars peeked in to see you and the night wind whispered,"life will never be the same"alt="Lilypie 1st Birthday Pic" width="29" height="20" border="0" />
I have the same issue. DD does not take a paci, so I usually pick her up after a minute or 2. Sometimes she soothes herself back to sleep, and other times I have to rock her.
